Turkey Toss 2015

Compass Health’s 15th Annual Thanksgiving turkey delivery!

Every year, an energetic team of consultants and corporate staff will distribute nearly 1,000 birds to grateful employees at all 9 Compass Health owned facilities. Over 8 tons of turkeys will be delivered to our staff.

This year, our facilities raised over $2,200 for our local food banks. That’s over $17,000 in buying power for them! In addition, we collected over 10,000 POUNDS of non-perishable food items that will be donated as well.

Mission View’s Typhoon Haiyan Relief Fundraiser

In the spirit of people, caring for people, the staff at Mission View joined together to raise money for those affected by the devastating typhoon that struck the Philippines last week. For five dollars, charitable contributors enjoyed sizzling hot dogs, juicy burgers and tasty empanadas, among other delectable treats. This lovely grilling-in-the-sun day was organized to not only raise money for those touched by this terrible tragedy, but as a show of solidarity and love for two of our own team members whose families were directly impacted by this devastating disaster. Almost eleven hundred dollars-and counting!-was raised, and efforts are enduring with a clothing drive also taking place at Mission View. All of the money raised will go directly to help the Philippine-based families of the two members of the Mission View team, while the clothing donated will be shipped to the Philippines, free of charge, by a Santa Maria based charity.

Mission View Health Center, proud to continue the Compass Health tradition of people, caring for people, caring for people…

Seniors Saving Seniors

Every year senior dogs are dropped off at our local shelters. Their owners may have passed away, moved into a retirement community or out of the area with children. Often these wonderful, once-beloved and faithful friends are overlooked. We, as seniors residing at Bayside Care Center and Casa de Flores, are committed  in helping the four-legged seniors in our community live out their lives in warm and loving homes.

All the proceeds from our community-renown homemade all-natural dog treats will be used to pay the adoption fees of senior dogs looking for homes within our local shelters…

… because we believe all it takes is a second look to give these loving animals a second chance to touch a life.

To learn more about our four legged senior friends looking for a good home, please contact. Makena Tolley at makena@baysidecarecenter.com.
